BGCI maintains four globally unique and publicly accessible databases: PlantSearch, GardenSearch, ThreatSearch and GlobalTreeSearch; and an increasing number of data tools. BGCI databases and new tools work in conjunction with the GlobalTree Portal, the Directory of Expertise and SheepCRM to provide the botanical community with an array of resources to better conserve plant diversity.

The combination of these databases and services provides powerful tools to prioritise, connect, manage, monitor and build capacity among ex situ and in situ conservation efforts at the local, regional and global scales.
