Priority US Trees Conservation Awards
Purpose
The Morton Arboretum, ArbNet, United States Botanic Garden, NatureServe, and BGCI-US, are offering conservation funding support for US-based institutions to collect and propagate priority US tree species.
We invite collaborators to complete a proposal in the form linked below to be considered for funding to support their tree conservation collections. The awards will range from US$3,000 – $5,000.
To Apply
Proposals will be accepted in two rounds, with deadlines on June 15, 2025 and August 15, 2025. Recipients will be notified within 4 to 6 weeks of each application due date.

The Keller Scholarship in Conservation Horticulture
Purpose
To promote plant conservation capacity and coordination among botanic gardens, and/or public gardens, in the United States through programs of Botanic Gardens Conservation International-US (BGCI-US) in collaboration with The Garden Club of America (GCA).
To Apply
Applications must be submitted electronically or sent by mail to be received at GCA Headquarters in New York City by January 15 of each year. Please note: only one GCA scholarship, fellowship or award may be applied for annually.
NAFANT CWR Conservation Partnership Awards
Purpose
BGCI-US and the United States Botanic Garden are delighted to announce the North American Fruit and Nut Tree Crop Wild Relative (NAFANT CWR) Conservation Partnership Awards. We invite proposals from US-based institutions undertaking conservation work—such as plant exploration, ex situ collections, in situ management, and research—focused on priority fruit and nut tree CWR taxa. Award amounts range from US$4,000-$5,000.
