On 19 May 2027, conservation practitioners from around the world will come together for the second ever World Species Congress. Bringing together experts and practitioners from zoos, aquariums, botanic gardens, NGOs, governments, Indigenous and community organisations, and specialist groups, the Congress will focus on accelerating species conservation action and collaboration worldwide.
The first World Species Congress was a major infusion of hope and strategy to the thousands of organisations and individuals responsible for efforts to save species from extinction. It was an open invitation to communities, nations, and organisations looking to make a difference to join the global movement. The Congress’ accessible format proved effective to engage all communities committed to making a difference for species.
In 2027, Reverse the Red invite partners from around the world to join them for another 24 hours of sharing solutions, strengthening collaboration, and accelerating action for species recovery.
