IPSN UK Network Meeting to take place 25th October at Birmingham Botanical Gardens

This year’s annual IPSN UK network meeting will be held on Wednesday 25th of October at Birmingham Botanical Gardens. This gathering holds a special place in the Network’s calendar as our yearly opportunity to connect with our British members and provide updates on IPSN activities and initiatives, shed light on recent additions to the risk register. This year, we will also foster discussions around the newly unveiled Plant Health Strategy for Great Britain. Attendee contributions not only help us identify vital themes for supporting/enhancing biosecurity activities through our network but also aid in identifying key upcoming activities and projects. We firmly believe that this event holds immeasurable value for all participants, offering an exceptional platform for networking and the discussion of pertinent issues. To register interest, IPSN members should contact lara.salido@bgci.org.

The IPSN will also be represented at the Tree Forum meeting at the University of Birmingham on Tuesday 24th October, where we are joining forces with our esteemed partners from PlantNetwork and Observatree to launch the United Kingdom Garden Sentinel Network (UKGSN). The Tree Forum, organised by PlantNetwork and the Chartered Institute of Horticulture, will deliver an engaging array of talks centring on critical aspects of live collection management, such as tree survival under climate change, planting establishment and the BIFOR FACE project.

We encourage our UK members to attend both events.
