All at BGCI were greatly saddened to hear of the passing of Dr Peter Raven on the 25th April, aged 89. Over almost four decades as President of Missouri Botanical Garden, Peter elevated MBG to Its current leadership role as one of the world’s great botanic gardens.

To those of us who got to know Peter well, he will be remembered for his formidable intellect, his drive and his wonderful sense of humour – as well as for emails sent and received at all hours of the night. He will be greatly missed by our community, and BGCI sends its heartfelt condolences to Pat, and Peter’s family.
