Malabar Botanical Garden & Institute for Plant Sciences are delighted to invite you to the International Symposium on Aquatic Flora: Culture, Innovation & Sustainability. This event will focus on ecosystem-based management and nature-based solutions for freshwater and wetland ecosystems.
The event will be held from 02-04 October 2026, at the Malabar Botanical Garden and Institute for Plant Sciences in Calicut, Kerala, India. Nested along the Arabian Sea, Kozhikode (Calicut) is the historic city of the Zamorins, renowned for its rich maritime trade heritage and as the place where Vasco da Gama first landed in India. Celebrated for its vibrant culture, world-famous Malabar cuisine, and distinction as India’s first UNESCO “City of Literature”.
