The IPSN (International Plant Sentinel Network) invites you to join a special event celebrating the launch of new outreach and educational resources for botanic gardens and arboreta, developed through the BEXYL project.

In this interactive session, you’ll learn about the BEXYL project and its work on the plant pathogen Xylella fastidiosa, alongside insights from the International Plant Sentinel Network. The event will highlight the vital role botanic gardens play in research, education, and raising awareness of emerging threats to plant biodiversity.

You’ll also be among the first to explore newly developed communication and educational materials designed to help gardens and educators engage the public on plant health, biosecurity, and Xylella fastidiosa.

The event is organised by Botanic Gardens Conservation International and IAS-CSIC, hosted by the Real Jardín Botánico de Madrid-CSIC, and funded by the European Union.

La IPSN (Red Internacional de Plantas Centinela) le invita a participar en un evento especial para celebrar el lanzamiento de nuevos recursos divulgativos y educativos para jardines botánicos y arboretos, desarrollados en el marco del proyecto BEXYL.

Durante esta sesión interactiva, conocerá el proyecto BEXYL y su trabajo sobre la bacteria Xylella fastidiosa, junto con las actividades de la Red Internacional de Plantas Centinela. El evento destacará el papel fundamental de los jardines botánicos en la investigación, la educación y la sensibilización sobre las amenazas emergentes para la biodiversidad vegetal.

Asimismo, los participantes podrán ser de los primeros en descubrir nuevos materiales de comunicación y educación, diseñados para apoyar a jardines botánicos y educadores en la divulgación sobre la sanidad vegetal, la bioseguridad y Xylella fastidiosa.

El evento está organizado por Botanic Gardens Conservation International y IAS-CSIC, con la acogida del Real Jardín Botánico de Madrid-CSIC, y financiado por la Unión Europea.
