BGCI is leading a Darwin Initiative project entitled “Responsible exchange of plant genetic resources for research and development” which aims to develop unique tools that enable researchers and practitioners to access and share plant material and data with international collaborators responsibly and safely, leading to positive impacts on biodiversity conservation and sustainable development.

This survey aims to gather information on the extent and nature of plant material and data exchange between botanical organisations and to assess perspectives, constraints and opportunities associated with access to data and germplasm. The results will be used to improve policies and regulations related to the exchange of plant material, and will help us design tools for improved plant material and data exchange.

Personal information will be managed in accordance with data guidelines and in line with BGCI’s Privacy Policy. Personal data will not be shared outside the project partners (BGCI and the University of Addis Ababa), and will not be kept beyond the duration of the project. Published results will not include personal information and will be anonymised.

This survey should take about 15-20 minutes to complete. We thank you for your participation. If you have any questions, please send us an email. This survey closes March 15th.
