Children’s vacations can be even more special when spent surrounded by nature!

From July 14 to July 31, the Recife Botanical Garden invites the whole family to enjoy Eco Holidays, a free educational programme filled with fun, discovery, and environmental learning experiences for children and teenagers aged 5 to 15.

Throughout the programme, children will have the opportunity to:

• Join ecological walks through the Atlantic Forest;
• Take part in a treasure hunt to find endangered species throughout the Botanical Garden;
• Explore the fascinating world of plant microscopy;
• Learn about bees, pollination, climate change, and the importance of biodiversity;
• Get their hands dirty in seedling production and tree planting workshops;
• Discover medicinal plants and make natural bioproducts;
• Experience a day as a junior botanist;
• Learn about cocoa and make chocolate;
• Create nature-inspired artwork in Land Art, painting, and nature-print workshops;
• Enjoy theatre performances, educational games, an open greenhouse, and much more!

It’s a wonderful opportunity for children to learn through play, spark their curiosity, and create lasting family memories while connecting with nature and discovering the importance of environmental conservation.
