Applications are invited for the BGCI-Minnesota Landscape Grant. The mission of the grant fund will be to support worldwide conservation through botanical gardens. The purpose of the BGCI-Minnesota Landscape Grants will be to aid botanical gardens or arboreta around the world that are having difficulty in carrying out their mission. The grants may be used for any part of the gardens’ work, operations, conservation, education or research. The size of the grants available are US $500 to US $1,000.

To submit an application explain the need for the funds in 100 words or less, write out your garden’s mission statement, and your annual income and expense budget. Expenses should be listed as personnel costs, supplies, other. Revenue support should be listed as government, private foundation or donation, earned or other. Applications should not be greater than one page, and should be sent to liz.smith@bgci.org attached to an email entitled ‘MLA Grant Application’.

Applications are due by April 30th 2018. Grants are awarded once per year in May.

If you receive an award and after project completion, you will need to submit a one page report of what was accomplished.
