We are recruiting a Tropical Botany Researcher with horticultural responsibilities to join MUSE’s Research and Museum Collections Office in Trento, Italy. The position combines tropical plant ecology research with the horticultural management of living botanical collections, focusing on Tanzania and the Eastern Arc Mountains. The successful candidate will be primarily based in Trento, contributing to the care and development of approximately 200 tropical plant species in MUSE’s public tropical greenhouse and propagation facilities, while supporting research activities connected to the Udzungwa Ecological Monitoring Centre (UEMC) in Tanzania, potentially including fieldwork opportunities. The role also offers opportunities to develop new research projects, contribute to scientific publications and databases, and support educational and public engagement activities.
