Propagation Protocol Hub (prototype)

Developing propagation protocols for plants is crucial for the conservation of plant species. Published propagation protocols ensure the sharing of knowledge and avoid duplication of effort.

To help with the development of propagation protocols for plant species, BGCI has set-up this Propagation Protocol Hub,  as a central shared resource or library where BGCI and partners can submit and find propagation protocols for important plant species. Please submit any protocols that you would like to share with conservation professionals, ecological restoration practitioners, horticulture professionals and anyone else working to help save and protect threatened plant species world-wide.

The protocols collected through this hub will ultimately be shared with users via BGCI’s PlantSearch database or a similar platform, where they will be attributed to the authors who submit them via a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) or existing citation.

If you have existing propagation protocols that you would like to share, please start by completing one of the two (2) following forms (below).

Additionally, you can submit individual protocols using these guided forms, please select the appropriate specific templates.

Individual Single Propagation Protocol Forms:

Please note: the above forms are currently only available in English.

The above submission forms follow BGCI’s Propagation Protocol Manual format. You can download the manual and individual protocol templates HERE (English, French & Spanish versions available) .
