In collaboration with the University of Abomey-Calavi, the SEP2D program is organizing an international symposium in Cotonou (Benin), to facilitate and promote cooperation between the various stakeholders in plant biodiversity: community scientific, civil society, policymakers, small and medium-sized economic operators, non-governmental organizations, and regional development agencies.

This event has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This symposium will have as main objectives to:

  • Promote the role of scientific communities in developing countries for the enhancement and conservation of biodiversity in a context of biodiversity loss and climate change;
  • Present best practices of cooperation, associating scientists, economic operators and civil society;
  • Raise the interest of donors to support networks and projects under way;
  • And inform decision-makers by capitalizing on the lessons learned during the 14 years of SEP and SEP2D activities.

This international symposium is open to the entire scientific community and stakeholders in the management and enhancement of plant biodiversity, subject to mandatory prior registration and within the capacity of the symposium.

If you wish to propose an oral presentation or a poster, thank you to do it at the latest by September 15, 2019 by completing this form.
