Seed Conservation Techniques International (SCTi) – Missouri Botanical Garden, 20–24 April 2026
The Missouri Botanical Garden, in partnership with the Millennium Seed Bank Partnership (MSBP), is offering Seed Conservation Techniques International (SCTi), a one-week, in-person professional development course. This is the first SCTi delivered at MBG, and we are honored to be certified to facilitate the training through the MSBP Trainer Certification Scheme, a newly launched initiative to empower experienced seed conservation professionals to deliver standardized, high-quality training worldwide.
Based on Kew’s flagship Seed Conservation Techniques, SCTi equips practitioners with practical skills in seed collection, processing, drying, storage, and testing, all aligned with MSBP Seed Conservation Standards. The course combines classroom lectures, hands-on lab practicums, and a field day at Shaw Nature Reserve, bringing global best practices into a local context.
Who should apply: Plant conservation professionals working in seed banks, botanical gardens, restoration, or biodiversity programs.
Application deadline: 01 March 2026. Selected participants will be notified by 09 March 2026.
