The International Plant Sentinel Network (IPSN) has released three new resources to increase  awareness surrounding various priority plant pests/pathogens. These include, three wood boring beetles (Polyphagous Shot Hole Borer, Gold Spotted Oak Borer and Two Lined Chestnut Borer) on European Quercus species, Emerald Ash Borer and Ash Dieback on non-Fraxinus hosts and Rose Rosette Virus. These resources aim to aid Botanic Garden staff and the general public in identification of these damaging pests/pathogens. They have been developed in collaboration with experts at Fera Science Ltd. Charles Lane, Chris Malumphy and Ines Vazquez-Iglesias and each includes information on the background of the pests/pathogens in question, host species, symptom ID and who to contact if you observe symptoms. The resources can be found at here.
