News published: 05 June 2025. Updated 17 July 2025.
The latest edition of BGCI’s education magazine Roots is now available. Titled Art, Conservation, and Education, it features ten botanic gardens showcasing how they integrate art with conservation and education – from artist in residence programmes to botanical embroidery. We hope these articles will inspire you to use art in your own garden.
You can find earlier issues of Roots in our resources section.
Call for abstracts for next issue
The next issue of Roots is dedicated to the highlights and outcomes of the 11th International Congress on Education in Botanic Gardens (ICEBG) which took place in Seoul, South Korea in June 2025. Whether you attended or couldn’t make it this year, this special edition will bring the congress to you. Discover in-depth coverage of the most impactful presentations, insightful workshops, and innovative educational initiatives shared by experts from around the globe.
Did you give a workshop or presentation at the congress and would you like to write an article? Or perhaps you would like to share your experience of attending? Please send a 100-word abstract to Annelies by August 15.
