The following is a plea from Pha Tad Ke Botanical Garden to support their efforts to rebuild nurseries after a storm caused severe damage to the garden.

Heavy storm destroyed our rare and endangered plant nurseries!

In the afternoon of March the 3rd a heavy storm destroyed 2 plant nurseries at the Pha Tad Ke Botanical Garden in Luang Prabang Laos. The nurseries are housing a rare collection of native Lao plant species, like Orchids, Carnivore plants and ferns. Since these specimens require a shaded area to grow, immediate action to rebuild these facilities is required.

Pha Tad Ke is a Non-Profit organisation and not funded by the government, all incomes to run the daily operations and projects are covered with entrance fees and donations. Since we don’t have adequate funds available to rebuild our destroyed nurseries we need you help!

We Need You HELP!

We need to raise a minimum of $5000 to rebuild the basic structures of our plant nurseries to be able to give the proper care our sensitive plant collection requires. Specially our native Orchid collection contains many rare and some endangered species.

The Mission of Pha Tad Ke is:
