BGCI is launching a new webinar series focused on the Global Conservation Consortium (GCC) network.

The aim of the webinar series is to share knowledge and develop collaboration across the global network of GCCs and with other experts and organisation with a focused on protecting plant biodiversity and conservations. These free webinars are open to anyone to attend with an interest in plant conservation.
This first webinar is titled “Learn about the IPSN & the new GCC for Food Plants.”
When: Thursday 11 December 2025 – 15.00-16.00 GMT / 10.00-11.00 EST
This webinar we will cover two topics:
- An introduction to the International Plant Sentinel Network (IPSN) with a discussion on how GCCs can collaborate on plant health & biosecurity. Presenters: Lara Salido & Itxaso Quintana – BGCI
- The new GCC for Food Plants that launched earlier this year in September (2025), will be sharing details about this exciting new partnership between the botanic garden and crop communities. Presenters: Mauricio Diazgranados, Alex McAlvay and Colin Khoury – New York Botanic Garden (NYBG)
