We are currently inviting articles for the next edition of BGjournal. In this edition of BGjournal, we aim to highlight the theme of living collections and data in botanic gardens.
We welcome articles that highlight:
- innovative approaches to managing and documenting collections,
- how these are linked to collection strategies and policies in botanic gardens,
- how is the data on living collections used to measure your garden’s success?
- and case studies demonstrating the role of living collections and their data in research, conservation, and education.
Contributions may include practical experiences, new methodologies, or collaborative projects. Share your insights to inspire and inform the global botanic garden community. How has the community moved on since the last BGjournals on this subject? BGjournal 11.2: Botanic gardens: Using databases to support plant conservation and BGjournal 7.1: Ex situ conservation: the value of plant collections.
Deadline details forthcoming. Please send article suggestions to patricia.malcolm@bgci.org and should your suggestion be accepted, we will send you a copy of the author guidelines.
