The Atlanta Botanical Garden seeks a highly skilled and organized Conservation Genetics Laboratory Manager to support the research and applied conservation mission of the Southeastern Center for Conservation (SECC). This position is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Conservation Genetics Laboratory, overseeing the curation of the Conservation DNA Biorepository, and performing molecular laboratory work to advance conservation genetics projects focused on imperiled plant species.

Working under the supervision of the Research Scientist, Genetics, the Laboratory Manager ensures smooth lab operations, high-quality data generation, compliance with safety and data standards, and effective integration of genetics research into conservation across the SECC team. This position also plays a key role in training and mentoring laboratory technicians, trainees, and volunteers and fostering a culture of learning, safety, and collaboration within the laboratory environment.
