About the Johannesburg Botanic Garden, The

The Johannesburg Botanic gardens (JBG) captures some of the living flora of the world. Its one of the youngest gardens in the country, being only 30 yrs old. The garden is situated about 6km of the City Centre.
In addition to scientific and conservation and education reputation the JBG provides the best passive recreation space in Johannesburg (voted by Johannesburg citizens in 2004)
