About the Hortus Arboretum and Botanical Gardens
The arboretum and gardens are run as a non-profit organization whose mission is to sustain the native, unusual and historic plant life of our area and serve as a vital educational resource for the public.
We are also focused on saving rare and endangered plants with the goal of making sure that species diversity is preserved.
We are creating a 'Living Textbook' of plants that can be grown in the Hudson Valley.
