About the Jardin Botanico "Viera y Clavijo"

Ubicado en LAS PALMAS DE GRAN CANARIA, se encuentra a la altura del Km. 7 de la carretera del centro entre los barrios de Tafira Baja y Tafira Alta, y pertenece al Cabildo de Gran Canaria.

Las actividades principales de este Jardín Botánico están orientadas al conocimiento científico de la diversidad florística exclusiva del Archipiélago Canario en particular y de la Región Macaronésica en general, y a su divulgación mediante los programas de educación ambiental.

El Jardín, que es el mas grande de España, con más de 27 hectáreas se ha convertido a través de los años en un modelo para la CONSERVACIÓN de la flora endémica local.
