Internship: Landscape Design, South AfricaFor 2008 Soekershof Walkabout, Klaas Voogds West in Robertson, Western Cape, South Africa intends to start with a learnership program after which succesfull employees can start their own landscaping (design) business. Duration of the program is approx. 5 years and consists of extensive practicals (from compost making and weeding to advanced propagation techniques and garden design and landscaping) and distance learning courses gardening, gardening design and management for small businesses. The costs of study material is on behalf of Soekershof Walkabout on the condition that approx. 50 percent of study time (average 10 hrs per week) takes place in the own time of employees. We are therefor looking for 2 new staff (in addition to the existing 2 gardeners) with at least Grade 8 level, above average interest in gardening and the motivation/drive to make a career.
