Storekeeper/Plant Records Clerk - NBG of Ireland, GlasnevinThe Office of Public Works proposes to recuit a Storekeeper/Records Clerk to be based in the National Botanic Gardens. The position has been created to support the efficient management of records of plant collections, supplies and other materials at the National Botanic Gardens and Kilmacurragh Arboretum, ensuring that data is kept up to date, accurate and accessible to users. Management of data on the collections is a vital function of the National Botanic Gardens in supporting science, horticulture and conservation, and to help ensure the safety of visitors and staff using the Gardens. Specific tasks of the position will include assisting and supporting the horticultural and scientific staff to incorporate data into the Garden's plant collection databases of both new and existing plant collections, including information on their names, locations in the Gardens and other relevant data. The successful candidate should possess the following attributes:
The rate of pay ranges from €464.59 gross per week on entry rising to €649.42 at the top of the scale. The successful applicant will be required to complete a probationary period of one year. Appointment to the position will only be confirmed following satisfactory completion of the probationary period.
