Keeper of the Herbarium, Library, Art & Archives at RBG KewRBG Kew's mission is to inspire and deliver science based plant conservation worldwide, enhancing the quality of life. To help achieve this, Professor Simon Owens the current Keeper of the Herbarium has moved to a new role as Head of Strategic Projects. The Corporate Executive have also taken the decision to include in the new Keeper's role the management of Kew's Library, Art and Archive collections. We are now looking for a world leader in Herbarium management and science combined with Library, Art and Archive services, who will be able to provide leadership and a strategic overview for RBG Kew in these fields.
HerbariaA herbarium is a collection of preserved plant specimens. These specimens may be whole plants or plant parts: these will usually be in a dried form, mounted on a sheet, but depending upon the material may also be kept in alcohol or other preservative. |

This is a standard reference for all botanists, herbarium managers and technicians involved with the making and maintenance of herbarium collections. It's published by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. |
