Scholarships for the 2008 International Diploma on Education in Botanic GardensBGCI is joining forces with Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, to run the International Diploma in Botanic Garden Education for botanic garden staff in September/October 2008. The course aims to equip participants with skills and strategies to communicate effectively with their varied audiences. Subjects include:
The emphasis of the course is on interactive learning and the application of skills to the participants’ working context, with input from guest speakers and visits to museums and gardens running educational programmes. BGCI is calling for applications for scholarships for the course. Applicants must be from developing countries, with good conversational and written English, and a knowledge of the appropriate technical terms.
