Botanic Garden Collections within the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation, Are We Ready for 2010?11 - 14 September
XALAPA, MEXICO
Continuing the celebrations of 30th anniversary of Francisco Javier Clavijero Botanic Garden, the Mexican Botanic Gardens Association, and the Francisco Javier Clavijero Botanic Garden of the Instituto de Ecología , A.C. itself, are going to carry out the International Colloquium, "Botanic Garden Collections within the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation, Are We Ready for 2010?", in the city of Xalapa, Mexico, during 11th to 14th september. The main objective is to provide Mexican botanic gardens and government authorities an an overview of plant collections in the botanical gardens. Speakers will include:Sara Oldfield -BGCI This events includes the 20th Meeting of Mexican Botanic Gardens Association. Speeches and posters will be presented on 13th and 14th september. A pair of exhibitions developed with Investing in Nature programme, UNAM, and Mexican Botanic Gardens Association will be opened on Tuesday 11th.
