Book cover - Botanic Gardens: Modern-Day Arks

 

This beautifully illustrated book by Sara Oldfield, Secretary General of BGCI, describes botanic gardens from around the world. Sales help support BGCI's work.

Published 2010; 240 pages. This book can be purchased from New Holland Publishers.

 

 

 

Join an exciting garden / arboretum tour organised by the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, in association with BGCI. Funds earned during these trips will be used to support poorly-resourced gardens around the world to conserve their endemic plant species.  Tours taking place in 2013 include a Peru Trip - "Lost Lands of the Incas" May 4 - 17. Further trips planned for 2013 are "Gardens of the Atlantic Maritime"  August 15-24 and "Gardens and Castles of Scotland" September 21-30. Further information is available here


 

 

Vancouver based Leanne Guthrie Johnston has pledged to donate CA$5 from the sale of each piece of jewellery to support the work of BGCI.

 

The designs for Leafloria Jewellery Creations are based on some of the world’s most threatened plant species and made using sterling silver.
