Welcome to BGCI U.S.BGCI and its member organizations work individually and collectively through BGCI's global plant conservation network to create a world in which plant diversity is valued, secure and supporting all life. They are joined by a host of individual members and donors that help make BGCI's global plant conservation efforts possible. Botanic gardens and partner organizations in the United States make important contributions to plant conservation efforts both in their own neighborhoods and around the world (click here to read more). BGCI's network of botanic gardens and conservation organizations in the United States began from 12 founding members in 1993, and has now grown to over eighty members strong. BGCI is a registered charity in the U.K. and a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the United States. Individual memberships and donations are tax deductible in the U.S. to the extent provided by law when made through www.justgive.org.
BGCI's Global Survey of Threatened Magnoliaceae in CultivationBGCI is very interested in finding out which Magnoliaceae are currently in cultivation. If your botanic garden's collection includes any of the species listed in the recent Red List of Magnoliaceae as Critically Endangered (CR), Endangered (EN) or Vulnerable (VU) then we would like to hear from you.
