Plant Conservation Events at Chicago Botanic Garden (September 29 - October 2, 2009)For information on TRAVEL and LODGING for these events, please click here.Botanical Capacity Assessment WorkshopWhen: September 29th, 2009 (9am - 5pm) & September 30th (9am – noon)Where: Chicago Botanic Garden's new Plant Conservation Science Center Who: invited non-profit organizations, university faculty and administration, and government agencies involved in plant science research, education and/or natural resource management in the United States. Purpose: 1) To discuss results of a recent nationwide survey of the collective ability of U.S. institutions and individuals to advance plant science education, research, and application, 2) identify gaps in capacity, and 3) recommend a plan of action to fill these gaps in the future. *Results will be included in a report to be distributed to organizations and individuals throughout the United States and freely available online in mid-2010.
