Welcome to BGCI SE AsiaSoutheast Asia is a biodiversity hotspot that harbours numerous iconic species such as the giant corpse lily (the world’s tallest inflorescence), Rafflesia (the world’s largest flower), and is the center of diversity for insectivorous pitcher plants and Vireya rhododendrons. Botanic gardens have a vital role to play in conserving the unique flora of the region and in educating the public about the importance of plant diversity. These pages are in development so check back soon for more about BGCI's work in South East Asia under HSBC's Investing in Nature programme.
