Call for Research Proposals: Conservation of Forest Trees and Use of Forest Genetic Resources in Sub-Saharan Africa

Biodiversity International are pleased to announce the 2011 Call for Research Proposals for the Abdou-Salam Ouédraogo Fellowship for research on Conservation of forest trees and Use of forest genetic resources in Sub-Saharan Africa. The deadline for application is 5 August 2011. The focus of this year’s fellowship award is on two themes:

•    Understanding status of and threats to genetic resources of priority forest tree species
•    Methods and approaches for conserving genetic resources of important tree species

We kindly ask for your collaboration in disseminating this information to your relevant mailing lists, including network partners, universities, forestry research institutes and any others who may be interested in this call.  Your collaboration is most important in this effort to attract qualified applicants.
