Survey for development of MSc Sustainable Horticulture (UK)
18th May 2011
The Eden Project in Cornwall England is collaborating with Schumacher College in Devon and the Centre for Alternative Technology in Wales to develop a new Masters programme, an MSc in Sustainable Horticulture. Dr. Jon Rae, Vocations & Enterprise , Schumacher College writes:
'We recognise a need for a programme that explores the role of natural biological and ecological processes in productivity, meets the treble challenges of peaking natural resources, environmental change and population growth, and gives the student confidence and critical skills to build and support resilient horticultural systems. We are moving this MSc through the validation process at Plymouth and hope to have it running in September 2012 or January 2013.
'We would be very grateful if you could take a few moments to complete a short online questionnaire to help us research your views.
'Questionnaire for the Masters is now live at: http://surveys.verticalresponse.com/a/show/167103/01846523e1/0
'We are asking critical friends to provide feedback on it in terms of its philosophy, content and/or need. Apart from integrating the feedback in the development of the M.Sc., we would also like to use your response in support of an upcoming submission on the 23rd May to Plymouth University’s Academic Development Committee – a stage 2 internal review of the post-graduate proposal.
'If you have any questions, or wish for further clarification on the Masters course, please do not hesitate to contact Jon Rae at Schumacher College.
