24th December 2010
The learning module, available in English, French and Spanish, aims to explain the Treaty in the context of other international agreements and how to use its Standard Material Transfer Agreement (SMTA) to exchange crop diversity. It was developed by Bioversity International and sponsored by the CGIAR System-wide Genetic Resources Programme and the CGIAR Generation Challenge Programme. See the website of Bioversity here: http://www.bioversityinternational.org/training/training_materials/international_treaty/treaty_module.html Bioversity International, Bioversity for short, is the operating name of the International Plant Genetic Resources Institute (IPGRI) - based in Maccarese, Italy - and the International Network for Improvement of Banana and Plantain (INIBAP). |
