- Salary range: Level 8 $84,072 - $92,075 p.a.
The Restoration Seedbank Initiative is a five year research and technology development partnership between The University of Western Australia, BHP Billiton Iron Ore, and Kings Park and Botanic Garden to develop the science, knowledge, and technical skills required to achieve biodiverse restoration in the resource rich Pilbara region of Western Australia.
This position will undertake research and development in seed enablement, including the development of seed priming and coating technologies to improve the establishment potential of native seeds in restoration. We are seeking a person with extensive knowledge and experience in seed enablement, the desire to innovate and adapt seed technologies for ecological restoration, and a demonstrated capacity for working as part of a collaborative research team.
Applicants must have a Bachelors Degree in a relevant field and/or a minimum of 8 years experience in the seed technology industry. Some assistance with relocation expenses (if applicable) may be negotiated.
