Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI) is the world’s largest plant conservation network. Our aim is to raise awareness of the importance of plants in supporting human-well-being and to ensure that no plant becomes extinct. Based in Kew, London, we work with member botanic gardens in more than 115 countries. From grassroots action to shaping government policies and priorities, we utilise our international network and expertise to achieve real conservation success.
This is the perfect opportunity for someone to be part of and contribute to the conservation work of a charitable organisation. Not only will you get involved in a variety of projects/activities run by the conservation team but you will be actively involved in disseminating information and reaching a variety of international audiences. We offer a friendly and busy environment that will enable you to find out about the world of botanic gardens’ and plant conservation and develop contacts for future job opportunities. As part of the internship you will receive training in BGCI’s CMS and will obtain valuable work experience.
Closing date: Sunday 8 July 2012.
