BGCI aims to halt the loss of plant diversity by raising awareness of the global importance of plants and working to safeguard species from extinction. From our London base, BGCI works with member gardens in 115 countries to support this vital conservation work. From grassroots action to shaping government policies and priorities, we utilise our international network and internal expertise to achieve real conservation success.

Reporting to the Secretary General, you will direct and co-ordinate all financial and administrative activities for management and Board, provide human resources advice, develop and implement policies and procedures and ensure that these underpin the BGCI ethos. As well as working to ensure the highest standards of financial management, you will  contribute to the organisation's strategic development.

As Company Secretary you will ensure compliance with company and charity law. You will have experienced working at finance at a managerial level, ideally as a fully qualified accountant with experience in the charitable sector and you are committed to working collaboratively with colleagues.

Experience in human resources and IT matters would be very useful.
