Rain doesn’t stop families pouring in to Rosemoor’s new family area!

enjoying the denThe fantastic new family picnic and play area, ‘The Brash’, at RHS Garden Rosemoor in Great Torrington was officially opened on 27 May 2009, with the typical English weather failing to put people off and children pouring into the hideaway in the woods despite the heavy rain!
Children and their parents donned their raincoats and wellies, and had a great time playing and picnicking in the fabulous new family area, which features log stepping stones, giant bugs, dens, bird feeding stations and much more.
Rosemoor's Head of Site, Sally Charleton, officially opened The Brash with a short speech and a ribbon cutting ceremony, and everyone was invited to enjoy a free 'banger' in the marquee after they had finished playing – although even the offer of food failed to lure some of the kids away from the fun they were having in the woods!
RHS Garden Rosemoor has already received lots of positive comments about the area, and children have been invited to feed in their ideas for future developments.
