Children's garden opens in Turkey

28 April 2009

entrance to children's gardenA new garden for children was opened on 23rd April (a holiday for children in Turkey) at the Nezahat Gökyiğit Botanik Bahçesi in Istanbul, Turkey.

The children's garden is specifically for 3 to 9 year olds and features a maze made with trees, a big tree house, water features, tunnels made with Salix trees, an activity area for story telling and art activities, characters, their footprints on the ground, puzzles and bright flowers.

The garden will be used to involve children in the garden's education programmes, for example teaching children how to plant flowers and grow their own vegetables, as well as contect them with nature and hopefully inspire them for a life of conservation!
