International Garden Photographer of the Year Exhibition – introductory offer for BGCI members

Following a new partnership with BGCI, International Garden Photographer of the Year is happy to discuss tailored exhibition opportunities with members of BGCI. This includes a discount on first-time booking and the option of spreading cost.

The exhibition is created from winners of the annual competition which includes entries from all over the world. The exhibition of winners is launched at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

Current BGCI members who have benefitted from the exhibition include: The Gibraltar Botanic Gardens, Hortus Botanicus, Cambridge University Botanic Garden, Ness Botanic Gardens, New York Botanical Garden, The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, Parques de Sintra, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and more.

But why book an IGPOTY exhibition? The exhibition is a true celebration of plants, gardens and green spaces, featuring nine main categories and Photo Projects including: The Beauty of Plants, Beautiful Gardens, Wildflower Landscapes, Trees, Woods & Forests, Greening the City and Macro Art.  With this world-leading content the exhibition aims to help venues by:

•    Increasing visitor numbers
•    Connecting visitors to the importance of plants through photography
•    Broadening public understanding of the natural world
•    Improving cultural offering
•    Gaining exposure and media coverage
•    Creating visible public outcomes that link with institution objectives
"The exhibition is a wonderful extra attraction, particularly in the greyer months of the year, bringing colour and interest which our visitors really appreciate.”
Professor Beverley Glover, Director, Cambridge University Botanic Garden.
