The New York Times features global tree conservation and BGCI's PlantSearch database

Today an article on international conservation efforts of Betula chichibuensis was featured in The New York Times. The article quotes experts from the botanic garden plant conservation community including Dr. Michael Dosmann, Curator of Living Collections at the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University. It also highlights the importance of data maintained in BGCI's PlantSearch database, the only global database of plants maintained in ex situ collections.
