In 2013 Field Studies Council (FSC) will be running the sixth Darwin Scholarship Programme.
The programme will take place at Preston Montford Field centre, Shrewsbury and Juniper Hall Field centre, Dorking, August 20-30, 2013. The scholarship will focus on three areas: skills of observation and identification, skills of recording biodiversity and skills of communicating biodiversity to different target groups and it is organised around a mix of lectures, excursions, field trips and workshops.
The aim of the Darwin Scholar Programme is to develop "better naturalists" in the spirit of Darwin’s love of nature and observing the natural world.
The Darwin Scholarship Programme has been running since 2008 and over 90 people from 40 countries have attended.
