The vital work of botanic gardens in researching, documenting and preserving traditional plant knowledge was highlighted today on 'The Alan Titchmarsh Show', a major UK TV programme hosted by iconic celebrity horticulturalist Alan Titchmarsh.

 Aiming to show the great breadth of plants that are vital for human wellbeing, the show featured 5 examples of UK garden plants that have interesting and exotic ethnobotanical uses, using this as a vehicle to highlight the work of botanic gardens around the world.
