BGCI exhibited at 2006 Hong Kong Flower Show for the fourth time. Held on 3rd to 12th March, the show attracted around half a million visitors.
The BGCI booth featured an exhibition targeting schoolchildren on iconic Chinese plants which have shaped Chinese rich art and culture, called the Three Friends of Nature, namely bamboo, pine and flowering plum.
In addition to an exhibition, the booth also featured a children’s activity desk developed and conducted by HSBC staff, many of whom returned from Earthwatch programmes. Fifty volunteers helped out at children’s activity desk on the weekends when the activities took place.
BGCI would like to thank the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) for their assistance and for hosting the Hong Kong Flower Show.
