About the Jardin Alpin des Rochers-de-Naye "La Rambertia"

La Rambertia is a private botanical alpine garden which belongs to the society of the same name. The name was chosen in honour of Eugène Rambert (1830 - 1886), professor of French literature, poet, great naturalist and devoted member of the Swiss Alpine Club. The society provides financial support, assisted by the local railway group operating the rack railway from Montreux up to the Rochers-de-Naye. The garden cultivates plants of the mountainous regions worldwide and especially from Switzerland. The garden is a member of IPEN International Plant Exchange Network.
