About the Jardín Botánico Hacienda Verde

Botanical Garden of Andean fruits created to reflect the biodiversity of fruit species and varieties cultivated in Andean (mainly Ecuadorian) dry valleys.
It attempts to rescue plants and traditional flavours that are being lost in modern times.
Some of the plant genus in which we are focussing are: Vasconcellea (mountain papayas; Caricaceae), Passiflora (passion fruits; Passifloraceae), Psidium (guavas; Myrtaceae), Inga (Fabaceae).
