About the Centro de Estudios Medicos Interculturales

The Botanical Medicinal Garden of Cota opened its doors for the first time in 1995. It is part of a community-based project aimed at the recovery and promotion of the traditional medicinal plants used for centuries by the people living in this Andean population.

The activities of the Garden cover three domains: research, education, and growing of medicinal plants.
