Capability Brown's first complete design comprising outer shelter belts, parkland, a mile-long artificial river, a series of shrubberies winding through the park, a collection of garden buildings by Brown, Robert Adam and James Wyatt, and an orchard, all surrounding a mansion designed by Brown. Good woodland birds all year, and butterflies in July and August, including Marbled White. The parkland has recently been converted from arable to grassland.
