About the Roger-Van den Hende Botanic Garden
The Roger-Van den Hende botanical Garden is Université Laval’s educational garden. Its mission is to serve as a practical laboratory for students and researchers studying and working at Université Laval, particularly at the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences. The garden also has a public education vocation and is a popular open space.
This six-hectare educational garden features near than 4000 species and cultivars arranged in order of botanical family. It houses a unique collection of plants native to Quebec and ornamental plants introduced from Europe, America and Asia. It contains a water garden, a collection of herbaceous plants and rhododendrons, an arboretum and a rose garden.
